The Schrader Environmental Education Center project was a favorite. As a new museum with a great concept, “It’s All Connected”, we were allowed to explore a combination of symbols, colors and graphics that were also “connected”. We created a color-coded symbol of the sun surrounded by eight environmental areas of study that appeared on all of the museum indoor and outdoor Woodland walkway graphics. A JuniorTrek symbol was added to major panels with an attached plexiglas pocket with cards that kids could pick up and join a tour specifically designed for younger age groups. The project panels utilized a high-gamut Hexachrome printing technique pioneered in our large-format printing department. The results produced brilliant colors unattainable in standard CMYK printing.
