Paul Jay Photography
Sewickley, PA
Artist, photographer, graphic designer, printmaker, museum designer.
The local work photographs utilized the iPhone camera as a capture device. Older monochrome work was in 120mm square format, 35mm or 4×5 sheet film capture. Some experimental work was hand “painted” with india ink on 16×20 glass sheets and contact printed on 16×20 silver gelatin paper. In some of the glass prints, strips of 120mm film were positioned on top and/or bottom and double burned in register. All 1978 and earlier work was performed without computers or Photoshop which was not available for another 1o years.
